Description

MINIGEIGER 7317 with Pancakes – Geiger counter, Radioactivity dosimeter and datalogger, All in one tool.

The result of over five years of development and continuous improvements, Minigeiger 7317 combines ease of use, compact dimensions and features typical of higher category instruments.

The Minigeiger 7317 project was born in 2020 and in the following years it was constantly perfected through numerous hardware and software updates. The current 2025 version integrates further optimized radioactivity acquisition algorithms, greater precision in dosimetry, the recording of measurements in real time on the internal memory and a configurable acoustic alarm function that activates when the thresholds set by the user are exceeded.

Minigeiger 7317 was designed to meet the needs of the most demanding enthusiast, but it also represents an ideal solution for professionals looking for a compact instrument, intuitive and reliable for measuring Alpha radiation, Beta e Gamma.

Minigeiger 7317 is a reliable and compact Geiger Counter equipped with a high performance Pancake Probe.

Despite its small size, ours “Minigeiger 7317 con Pancake” It is a reliable Geiger counter with advanced performance, derived from our Italian technology and the very sensitive American-made Geiger Muller Pancake LND7317 probe.

Geiger counter with integrated Radioactivity Datalogger function.

Our Minigeiger 7317 with its integrated Datalogger function, It also allows radioactivity data to be stored internally, within the limits of the 200 locations available in its internal memory. The same data can then be saved on the PC via the USB interface it is equipped with and the Windows software supplied: “EASY RAY“.

Autorange of radioactivity measurement times and measurement “SCALER” high-precision

Thanks to the automatic acquisition time adjustment function, MINIGEIGER is able to automatically adapt the duration of the measurements according to the current levels of radioactivity, optimizing the accuracy of the results.

The instrument also has a measurement mode “Scaler”, which allows you to set acquisition times up to 600 seconds. This function, combined with the high sensitivity of the Pancake probe, allows you to accurately discriminate even very weak radioactive activities and minimal variations in the natural background.

This mode is particularly useful in low count measurements, where the reduction of statistical error plays a fundamental role.

Sound alarm that warns if customizable radioactivity thresholds are exceeded

Newer versions of the Minigeiger 7317 come with a configurable alarm function, capable of generating an automatic acoustic signal when the radioactivity thresholds set by the user are exceeded.

This function is particularly useful during monitoring and research activities for radioactive sources, allowing you to quickly identify any increases in environmental radioactivity levels.

Easy and intuitive use thanks to the single Settings button.

MINIGEIGER 7317 was designed with particular attention to ease of use. Unlike many tools that have numerous complex commands and menus, we have favored an essential and intuitive interface, designed to facilitate use even by less experienced users.

For this reason, all commands that are not strictly necessary have been eliminated, maintaining only the power switch on the right side and a single button dedicated to selecting the menu screens, located next to the color TFT display.

This design philosophy allows you to use the tool immediately, minimizing the possibility of incorrect settings and making the detector particularly practical even during use in the field.

Operational simplicity has been achieved without giving up the most advanced measurement functions, which are automatically managed by the internal firmware.

Minigeiger 7317 with Pancake is also supplied on request Accredia calibration certificate.

On request, Minigeiger 7317 can be accompanied by an ACCREDIA Calibration Certificate issued by an accredited national laboratory, which certifies the metrological traceability and conformity of the measurements with the checks carried out.

Tests carried out on previous models, from which the current version derives, confirmed the reliability and performance of the instrument, allowing its use also in the professional field.

Main features:

Minigeiger Geiger Counter 7317 with Pancake Probe, product, sold, guaranteed and assisted in Italy by the same national manufacturer ElettronicaNetwork.

It is powered by 4 common microstylus alkaline batteries (AAA) and uses the well-known ATMEL microcontroller: ATMEGA328P, which provides the management of all the measurement functions implemented in our device. Among these we mention: the function Radioactivity dosimeter, which automatically calculates the overall radiation dose to which you are exposed in a given period of time, the function: Scaler, that is, a special measurement mode that significantly increases the sensitivity and precision of acquisition by using the fixed and very long sampling times of the measurements.

Always about the hardware, owns a 1.8 backlit color display″ with active matrix, perfectly readable even outside in the presence of sunlight. Then it is’ also present a led it's a buzzer which are activated instantly whenever a particle is detected by the Geiger tube. There is also a USB interface which allows you to connect the instrument to a computer with a 64 bit Windows operating system to download measurement data both in real time and deferred and at the same time allows you to power the instrument without having to run down the batteries..

Who may need our Geiger Counter ?

Our compact radioactivity meter for its professional features, is recommended by the qualified radiation protection expert, to public administrations such as municipalities, the local health authorities for the protection of citizens' health and of course the police to conduct health investigations directly in the area.

We think it could also be useful in research and analysis laboratories, and in particular to companies that import and process products from countries that have been involved in serious nuclear accidents in the past. But anyone who needs to have a multifunctional radioactivity detector could purchase it, modern, precise and reliable, capable of ascertaining with sufficient precision the levels of ionizing radiation present in the environment, in the ground, in building materials, on some foodstuffs and in general on any product or personal object.
