Description

MINIGEIGER 7317 with Pancakes – Geiger counter, Radioactivity dosimeter and datalogger, All in one tool.

We completed the project of our Minigeiger 7317 with Pancake in the now distant summer of 2020 after about 6 months of hard work. Then we were not satisfied with the already excellent results obtained, and in the years that followed, we continued to make several important improvements to them, up to the latest version in 2025.

In general, all the algorithms for acquiring radioactivity have been refined, of Dosimetry and saving of measurements in real time on the internal memory. Recently, the useful acoustic alarm function has also been introduced in the event of exceeding presettable thresholds.

This small geiger counter has been designed for both the enthusiast and the experienced professional user, that requires a compact detector, precise and easy to use as a Minigeiger with Pancakes, which can reliably detect any type of ionizing radiation.

Minigeiger 7317 is the smallest Italian Geiger with Pancake probe.

Despite its particularly compact dimensions, our detector “MINIGEIGER con Pancake” , shows off respectable performance, thanks to well-designed made in Italy electronics and a very sensitive American-made Geiger Muller Pancake probe.

Geiger counter with integrated datalogger function.

Our Minigeiger 7317 thanks to the integrated Datalogger function, It also allows radioactivity data to be stored internally, within the limits of the 200 locations available in its internal memory. The same data can then be saved on the PC via the USB interface it is equipped with and the Windows software supplied: “EASY RAY“.

Autorange of radioactivity measurement times and measurement “SCALER” high-precision

Thanks to the automatic range of the measurement acquisition time, MINIGEIGER is able to automatically adapt the most suitable acquisition times based on the current radioactivity values to always obtain particularly precise measurements.

Furthermore, being equipped with the so-called: “SCALER”, You can set a capture time “long” of 600 seconds. This special measurement mode combines with the extreme sensitivity of the Pancake Probe, allows our little Geiger to be able to discriminate even negligible levels of radioactive activity with extreme precision.

Easy and intuitive use with a single Settings Setting Button.

Our tool was designed with maximum ease of use in mind, therefore we have put away all those buttons which most of the time complicate the use of these devices, especially for an inexperienced user. On our MINIGEIGER, however, we have removed everything superfluous, that is, only the power switch on the right side and a single button for scrolling through the MENU screens remain, located at the top right next to the color TFT display of the same instrument.

Minigeiger 7317 with Pancake is also supplied on request Accredia calibration certificate.

The good characteristics of this radioactivity meter can be certified at a certified national calibration center “ACCREDIA” of our trust, which, after checking the instrument, issues a calibration certificate valid for the purposes permitted by law. The results of these checks, which we have already had performed in previous series, from which this new model derives, they attest without any uncertainty to the excellence of the performances. Therefore we have no problem defining this new model in the series as one of the best Geiger counters ever produced.

Main features:

Minigeiger Geiger Counter 7317 with Pancake Probe, product, sold, guaranteed and assisted in Italy by the same national manufacturer ElettronicaNetwork.

It is powered by 4 common microstylus alkaline batteries (AAA) and uses the well-known ATMEL microcontroller: ATMEGA328P, which provides the management of all the measurement functions implemented in our device. Among these we mention: the function Radioactivity dosimeter, which automatically calculates the overall radiation dose to which you are exposed in a given period of time, the function: Scaler, that is, a special measurement mode that significantly increases the sensitivity and precision of acquisition by using the fixed and very long sampling times of the measurements.

Always about the hardware, owns a 1.8 backlit color display″ with active matrix, perfectly readable even outside in the presence of sunlight. Then it is’ also present a led it's a buzzer which are activated instantly whenever a particle is detected by the Geiger tube. There is also a USB interface which allows you to connect the instrument to a computer with a 64 bit Windows operating system to download measurement data both in real time and deferred and at the same time allows you to power the instrument without having to run down the batteries..

Who may need our Geiger Counter ?

Our compact radioactivity meter for its professional features, is recommended by the qualified radiation protection expert, to public administrations such as municipalities, the local health authorities for the protection of citizens' health and of course the police to conduct health investigations directly in the area.

We think it could also be useful in research and analysis laboratories, and in particular to companies that import and process products from countries that have been involved in serious nuclear accidents in the past. But anyone who needs to have a multifunctional radioactivity detector could purchase it, modern, precise and reliable, capable of ascertaining with sufficient precision the levels of ionizing radiation present in the environment, in the ground, in building materials, on some foodstuffs and in general on any product or personal object.
