Description

New scintillation radioactivity detector made in Italy: “Guardian Ray Smart Spark edition”, of our production.

This is a latest generation Beta and Gamma particle scintillation counter made in Italy. E’ very sensitive, as it only takes 2 seconds to acquire a measurement, and at the same time it is ultra sensitive, returning approximately 60,000 CPM for a radioactive activity of only 1 microGray/h.

Guardian Ray Smart Spark edition is recommended for the professional detection of gamma radioactivity, also equipped with WiFi connectivity, Bluetooth, Server Http e Client TCP. furthermore it also works as a Ratemeter, Radioactivity Dosimeter and Datalogger that saves measurement data in real time on microSD.

We are proud to present the new edition of Guardian Ray Smart in the special version “Spark” with external ultrasensitive scintillation probe consisting of a “grande” 3 inch HAMAMATSU PMT hose, optically coupled to a scintillator-type crystal: BICRON BC412 This new Scintillation Gamma Counter, It has a very high sensitivity, typically more than 10 times higher than the best commercial Geiger counter equipped with a Pancake probe.

I.O.T technology. It is part of our Scintillation Gamma Counter.

Guardian Ray Smart with external scintillation probe, represents an unprecedented revolution for this category of radioactivity detectors. Thanks to the use of so-called technology: Internet of Things”, (IOT), it can also work in mode “online”, being able to publish the radioactivity data detected in our cloud almost in real time.

For those who don't know, per “Internet of Things” refers to the devices, instruments, installations, system, machines and tools that can be interconnected to the network and exchange information through it.

All our tools from the recent series: Guardian Ray Smart can easily connect to the internet.

In this specific case we are referring to the possibility of connecting the instrument via the integrated WiFi to any local network and also to the internet. Once connected to the network, then among the various options available, it will automatically update the system date and time and above all it will be able to upload the radioactivity data to our Clouds and possibly to others owned by third parties.

What our cloud servers are and how they are used.

In practice they are web servers that acquire and make data available via the internet. In particular, our clouds have been specifically programmed for the acquisition of data on radioactivity which are transmitted online from our Geiger counters with a simple “POST”, On our cloud the same data will be made available automatically for real-time publication on specific web pages. For example, thanks to these characteristics it would be possible to use our Gamma scintillator also as a real control unit for the constant monitoring of radioactivity levels.

You can click on the link or image below to immediately view the environmental radioactivity data detected by our Geiger in real time in our laboratory in Quartu Sant'Elena (Cagliari).

Contatore Geiger Online

We also point out that Guardian Ray Smart also supports double WiFi configuration, that is, it can function as a Client or as an Access Point.

Local storage mode of radioactivity data on microSD.

Our Geiger Counter allows you to store radiation data detected even locally on traditional microSD cards, which despite their very small dimensions allow practically unlimited storage capacity .

Simultaneous display of various parameters and multiple units of measurement.

Guardian Ray Smart EXP can also show the radioactive activity on its large color LCD display, indicating it simultaneously in different units of measurement, that is to say: in microGray/h, CPM e in alternativa in CPS, while at the same time it calculates and displays the cumulative dose to which you are exposed over time.

It also works like a real one “Rate-Meter”, allowing in this special mode the execution of very precise measurements with fixed acquisition times, manually set from a minimum of 60 to a maximum of 1000 seconds.

Guardian Ray Smart Spark Edition is very simple to use thanks to its large 2.8 inch color touch display

E’ now disappeared “old” membrane keyboard which has been replaced by a modern display “touch” color with active matrix, which in this specific model is 2.8 inches, which makes the user experience easy and immediate.

Also available on request with Accredia calibration certificate.

The excellent characteristics of this radioactivity meter can be certified at a major certified national calibration center “ACCREDIA” of our trust valid for the purposes permitted by law. The results of these checks, which we have already had performed in previous series, from which this new model derives, they attest without any uncertainty to the excellence of the performances. Therefore we have no problem defining this new model in the series as one of the best Geiger counters ever produced.

Main features:

The Professional Geiger Counter “Guardian ray Smart Spark Edition” it is the only radioactivity detector that is produced, sold, guaranteed and supported in Italy directly by the national manufacturer itself.

Take advantage of a new and powerful 32-bit microprocessor with form Bluetooth e WiFi a 2.4 GHZ integrated and has a multitude of software functions and specialized algorithms for the acquisition and processing of radioactivity data.

Regarding the hardware, it also has a software-controlled clock unit with date, which updates automatically when the instrument is connected to the internet. E’ Powered by a rechargeable lithium battery yes 3.7V, and takes advantage of a broad display Touch, 2.8 backlit″ coloured with active matrix, perfectly readable even outside in the presence of sunlight.

It also has a buzzer which can be enabled and disabled at will, which emits a high-pitched tone for each particle detected, furthermore it can also ring insistently if a certain radiation threshold that can be set as desired is exceeded.

There is also a USB interface which, however, is used exclusively for charging the internal lithium ion battery via cable.

Due to its particular characteristics, this special radioactivity meter is recommended to qualified radiation protection experts, to public administrations such as municipalities, the local health authorities for the protection of citizens' health and of course the police to conduct health investigations directly in the area.

We think it could also be useful in research and analysis laboratories, and in particular to companies that import and process products from countries that have been involved in serious nuclear accidents in the past.

In practice, anyone who needs an ultrasensitive radioactivity detector could purchase it, multifunctional, modern, precise and reliable. This detector is perfectly suited to accurately ascertain the levels of Gamma radiation present in the environment, on waste of all kinds, in the ground, in building materials, on some food products and in general on any product or personal object.

Description and functioning of the probe used to detect radioactivity:
– Large ultrasensitive scintillation probe assembled and calibrated by ourselves. E’ consisting of a photomultiplier tube (PMT) 3 inches, which we have shielded from the earth's magnetic field to make it less influenced by it in its performance, using several layers of a highly permeable magnetic sheet called Mu-Metal. The same PMT tube was optically coupled to a Bicron BC412 type plastic scintillator crystal, (Premium Plastic Scintillator), large, Diam. = 3”(75mm), L=57mm.

The BC412 scintillator crystal it has been externally coated with a special titanium dioxide reflective paint, which has the property of excellently reflecting the very short pulses of ultraviolet light that are generated in correspondence with the Gamma photons or Beta particles that possibly pass through it.

The photomultiplier tube (PMT) instead it deals with amplifying with a very high gain factor, all those photons of ultraviolet light that are transmitted to it by the scintillator crystal to which it is optically coupled, converting them at the same time into corresponding electrical impulses.

Technical data of the sensitivity of the scintillation probe, extrapolated from calibration tests performed on a sample instrument:

(N.B. these are indicative data, which could differ significantly from instrument to instrument. In fact, before being delivered, each detector will be individually calibrated and the calibration data obtained, they will be included in the specifications of the instrument itself).
