Guardian Ray has become “Smart”

We can connect our instrument via its integrated WiFi module to any local network and also to the internet to automatically update the system date and time and above all to automatically upload the radioactivity data to the Cloud made available by the manufacturer himself or possibly to customer property.

How the Cloud server is used by our Geiger

Cloud servers allow the acquisition of radioactivity data sent over the network by our instruments and for their automatic publication in real time on specific web pages. For example, it would be possible to use our Geiger counter also as a real control unit for the constant monitoring of radioactivity levels.

We would like to point out that Guardian Ray Smart also supports double WiFi configuration, that is, it can function as a Client or as an Access Point.

Other ways of storing radioactivity data

Our Geiger Counter allows you to store data collected locally, which will now no longer be allocated to the internal memory, as happened in previous models, instead they will be automatically saved on very practical microSD cards, which despite their very small dimensions allow practically unlimited storage capacity .

Multifunctional Geiger counter

Guardian Ray Smart It can show radioactive activity on the large color display by simultaneously translating it into different units of measurement, that is to say: in microSievert/h, in interRontgen/h, in CPM o in alternativa in CPS, while at the same time it calculates and displays the dose of ionizing radiation to which one is exposed over time.

Ratemeter function

It also works like a real one “Rate-Meter”, allowing in this special mode the execution of very precise measurements with fixed acquisition times, presettable from a minimum of 60 to a maximum of 10,000 seconds.

It disappears “old” membrane keyboard which is now replaced by a modern display “touch” with active color matrix, which in this specific model is 2.4 inches. Guardian Ray Smart con Pancake, furthermore it can be requested in the variants with display da 2.8 and 3.2 inches.

It uses the highly sensitive Geiger Muller Pancake LND7317 probe

This version also has a particular Geiger Muller type probe installed internally “Pancake”, which in addition to being very sensitive and precise, It has the interesting characteristic of being able to detect all types of ionized radiation, that is to say: the Alphas, and Beta, Gamma and X-rays.

The Pancake differs from normal Geiger tubes for its large active surface made up of a thin mica membrane of about 45 mm in diameter. Therefore it is also permeable to Alpha radiation, which due to their corpuscular nature cannot be detected with economical metal or borosilicate probes.
