Economical Geiger Counter GC-01 With Improved Performance

We present our Improved Versions of the well-known Economical Geiger Counter “GC-01”.

Compared to the original model, it is appropriately customized to significantly increase its performance and reliability.

Added typical Geiger Counter Ticker function.

Also on this detector we have added a hardware module that implements the function: “Ticker”, basically our Geiger GC-01, now in addition to flashing its red LED, it can emit ticks in real time proportional to the radioactive activity detected.

New windowed back cover to increase sensitivity.

We replaced the original back cover with another new one made by us with the 3D printing. This new cover unlike the original one, It has a special rectangular opening on the left side which exposes the Geiger tube of the instrument, directly outwards, significantly increasing its sensitivity. Calibration of the high voltage that powers the Geiger tube.

We also adjusted the high voltage that powers the Geiger tube itself, thus certifying it to the correct nominal value of approximately 400V, as recommended by the manufacturer of the same hose.

M4011 Beta+Gamma tube more sensitive than the basic J613 model.

With a Geiger muller tube M4011 with a larger surface area than the j613 it becomes decidedly more sensitive and can detect in addition to energetic Gamma radiation. also less energetic Beta radiation and X-rays.

Our customized version of the Geiger GC-01 as well as having increased sensitivity and precision during measurements, it also uses a new firmware that expresses more rational graphics and several advanced additional options. Again thanks to the new firmware it now also has the “Ticker”, that is, a sound generator that emits a “click” corresponding to each radioactive particle detected by the Geiger tube.
